With the 2026 general election coming up, we approached the health spokesperson of the six political parties currently represented in parliament, or polling above 4.5%, and offered them the opportunity to respond to a series of pharmacy questions on pharmacy ownership, funding, service expansion and workforce sustainability.
We gave a limit of 200 words per question and made it clear that this opportunity was being offered to all parties.
Questions were sent to: ACT (Todd Stephenson), Green (Hūhana Lyndon), Labour
(Dr Ayesha Verrall), Māori (Debbie Ngarewa-Packer), National (Simeon Brown),
New Zealand First (Jenny Marcroft), and Opportunity (Qiulae Wong).
The answers to these questions are included in the October edition of our monthly members magazine, Contact.
